Using UEFI Instead of Legacy / CSM with PC-DNA

|

A quick note for older computers

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. A temporary issue may affect the PC-DNA USB drive on a small number of older computers when it is started in Legacy / CSM mode. This does not affect your computer.

The issue has been fixed in current versions, but we recommend checking your boot mode before you begin.

Use UEFI mode

  1. Restart your computer and open BIOS / UEFI (commonly F2, F10, Del, or Esc).
  2. Look for Boot Mode, Boot Options, or CSM.
  3. Select UEFI or UEFI Only, and disable Legacy / CSM if that option is shown.
  4. Save your changes (often F10) and restart.

Names and layouts vary by computer, so there is no need to change any other settings. If anything is unclear, use the chat button in the bottom-right corner of our website — we’ll be happy to help.
